The Palliative Care Unit, which was put into service with a capacity of 10 beds, started its activities with the principle of “You are not alone, we are here for you…”. Palliative Care Unit staff will always try to be with our patients and their families. Because our aim is not to add years to the lives of our patients, but to add life to their years.
What is palliative care?
According to the definition made by the World Health Organization, identification of pain and other problems with early diagnosis and precise evaluation in patients and families facing problems arising from life-threatening disease; It is an approach that includes practices for the prevention and alleviation of suffering by meeting physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs and aims to improve the quality of life.
